Pit Crew is the name we picked for freshman advisory. Only freshman have both advisory and travel in “houses” throughout the school day. The freshman advisory is an attempt to reach our students in the area of social and emotional growth. The teachers in advisory fill a different roll – they become advocates for the students in their advisory. Each freshman has at least one adult in the building with whom they can form a connection. They have advisory one period per week in the place of their gym class.
