Welcome to Automotive High School! Our mission at Automotive is to provide the very best learning environment that we can for our students. Our school is committed to excellence in student achievement, culminating with an educational experience that will provide students with the necessary tools and skills they will need to lead productive lives. Automotive High School holds the prestige of being one of the only institutions in the United States that provides a comprehensive automotive education at the high school level. Graduates of this school are eligible for Certificates of Employability and the programs offered at the school are in accordance with NATEF, the National Automotive Technicians Education Foundation. Automotive High School has attained Master Certification in all eight service areas of the NATEF.
Students at Automotive High School have the opportunity for real world experience because they are being taught by Master Mechanics that have worked in the real workforce. Our automotive technical labs provide students with the tools they will need when applying their academic knowledge to a tangible trade.Students are being prepared for employment in the automotive industry through completion of the rigorous programs including Information Technology, Business Management and Mechanical Engineering along with other required academic subjects.
We believe that one of the ways we can accomplish our goals is to keep parents, community members, and the school community informed about our school’s progress and initiatives. We have a newsletter that is distributed to parents bi-monthly and a very active PTA. At Automotive High School we have eight PSAL organized sport teams (Public Schools Athletic League), as well as a wide variety of clubs and activities, including Robotics, Auto Troubleshooting, school newspaper, yearbook, swimming, music, theater and more. The Student Government Association at Automotive is a viable entity that continues to improve school spirit.
The faculty and staff of Automotive High School are committed to increasing student performance, building character, promoting healthy competitiveness, and creating an environment that encourages an appreciation for life-long learning. Working as partners with both parents and the community, we are confident that Automotive High School will continue to meet the individual needs of every student it serves.
